START Nurse Residency Program Overview

Our next START cohort will begin on March 16, 2026. Application review and interviews will not take place until the week of 1/19/2026.
Position Requirements- Registered Nurse with less than 1 year of experience or a recent graduate of an accredited nursing program
- GPA 3.0 or greater
- BSN is strongly preferred
- If hired, we must be able to verify your Illinois RN license at least 2 weeks before the start date.

If you are selected as a prospective candidate, a member of the Human Resources department will contact you via email to submit a portfolio for review. The portfolio requirements may include: 500‑word essay on why you should be chosen for the START Nurse Residency program, academic credentials/transcripts, and letters of recommendation from clinical instructors. The portfolio due date will be within one week from when you are contacted.
ALL portfolios will be due by 1/9/26.
