American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Aurora, Illinois.

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 19:00-07:30
• 13-week contract assignment
• Direct patient care and coordination in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the Emergency Department
• Educates patients and families and supervises nursing personnel as necessary
• Responsible for accurate and timely communication with physicians about clinical changes
• Follows EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting protocols
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality
• First time travelers will be considered for this role
• Scrubs or dress code will be specified prior to assignment
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

• Active and current state RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross required
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation required within 30 days of hire
• Minimum of one year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting;
  Emergency Room experience preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Workplace Violence Prevention certification (DCI / BVP) required, can be completed online
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and BSN preferred
