Position: Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiology - Chicago Suburbs (Aurora)

About the Department

Seeking two full‑time Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join a growing Cardiology team that includes one dedicated General / Non‑Invasive Physician and two APPs who collaborate closely to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to assess, diagnose, and manage cardiovascular conditions.
  • Perform patient evaluations, coordinate care transitions, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
  • Average 40 patient‑facing hours per week inpatient.
  • Enhance inpatient access and continuity of care, supporting both acute and long‑term management of cardiac patients across the continuum of care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous APP experience preferred but not required; new graduates welcome.
  • APRN candidates must hold Acute Care Certification for inpatient work.
Position Requirements Nurse Practitioner
  • Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse licensure in Illinois (or eligibility for IDFPR licensure).
  • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a clinical specialty appropriate to the position.
  • Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
  • CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Physician Assistant
  • Physician Assistant / Associate licensure in Illinois (or eligibility for IDFPR licensure).
  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant / Associate Program.
  • Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Pay Range: $108,264 - $162,385
