The Nursing Supervisor - Neurosurgery oversees daily staff activities within the neurosurgery nursing department, ensuring efficient staffing, training, and compliance with policies. Pay:$40.86 - $63.33 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Supervises daily staff activities for an assigned nursing area or function.
Responsibilities:
Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
• Minimum Required
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Required
Licensure/Certification :
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant certification as determined at position level.
•
Minimum Experience:
3 years of nursing experience. 3 years leadership experience preferred.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
