Summary

ATMI Precast is looking for a QC Steel Foreman to support our Quality Control team. In this role, you will perform detailed inspections of steel components, monitor welding processes, and ensure compliance with industry codes and company standards. This is a hands-on position that plays an essential part in maintaining the quality, strength, and safety of our precast products.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect external hardware, steel components, and welding work
  • Audit welders and welding machines for compliance with standards
  • Develop and carry out internal hardware inspection processes
  • Write and maintain steel inspection and material review reports
  • Apply knowledge of welding processes including stud, fillet, and groove welds
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality processes
  • Work toward achieving Associate CWI certification
  • Support the QC Manager with assigned tasks and projects
Requirements
  • Completion of, or active enrolment in, a welding-related school or certification program
  • Familiarity with welding codes, inspection techniques, and reinforcement details
  • Experience or coursework in D1.1 and D1.4 welding standards (preferred)
  • Strong computer skills for documentation and report writing
  • Willingness to pursue ASNT certification within the first 6 months
  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail
