Summary

ATMI Precast is seeking a QC Steel Lead to lead quality control operations for all steel and welding activities. This senior role will oversee inspections, audits, and field weld reviews while managing a team of 5 to 6 quality control employees. The QC Steel Lead will serve as a key partner to production and engineering teams to ensure compliance with AWS codes, resolve issues, and continuously improve our quality systems.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all steel inspection and audit activities at ATMI
  • Create and maintain detailed weld inspection reports
  • Coordinate field weld inspections and resolve discrepancies
  • Supervise and assign tasks to a team of 5 to 6 QC employees
  • Ensure that all welding operations comply with company quality standards and codes
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve steel-related issues
Requirements
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
  • ASNT Level 2 certification
  • Minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role within a QC environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of weld inspection experience
  • Proficient in technical report writing and interpreting welding standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities
  • Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.4 welding codes
