Responsibilities
  • Prepare meals following Bickford’s menus, processes, and expectations.
  • Serve food in a timely, correctly tempered, and appropriately plated manner.
  • Ensure Bickford’s process is followed during meal service.
  • Interact with residents during meals to enhance their dining experience.
  • Wash dishes, pots, and pans according to Bickford’s dishwashing procedure.
  • Follow the Kitchen Daily Task Guide.
  • Use the Meal Order Information form to track resident physician‑ordered diets, allergies, and preferences.
  • Maintain food service records in accordance with regulatory requirements and Bickford’s policies.
  • Store food per regulatory requirements and Bickford’s policies.
  • Complete tasks from the Kitchen Rotational Cleaning Schedule.
  • Maintain a clean kitchen and dining room to meet regulatory and Bickford’s expectations.
  • Ensure Bistro/Beverage Bar is stocked with appropriate refreshments.
  • Coordinate with the Kitchen Manager to provide food/refreshments for tours and events.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
