Job DescriptionPosition Purpose: Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. They learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers to help sell projects. Associates greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales with customers, and handle basics in adjacent departments. They maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe.
Associates follow all safety policies, complete safety training, correct hazards, and report unsafe conditions. They work with their Department Supervisor and other team members across departments, which may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental. Position types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.
