Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Overview

Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift role at Waste Connections of New York.

Location:

Aurora, Illinois.

• Performs repairs (including electrical and hydraulic systems) and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Reviews and completes repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Other job related duties as assigned.

• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly.

Pay rate: Competitive pay starting at $28.00 per hour, with approximately 5–10 hours of overtime weekly (overtime is time and a half after 40).

Schedule: 2:00pm–10:30pm, overtime as needed. Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.
