Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer (Software Integrator) /
Sr. Principal Systems Engineer (Software Integrator) for their Aurora, CO location. As part of the Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) team, an Integration & Test engineer gains an understanding of the Systems Engineering process across a product’s lifecycle and gains a full appreciation for how the systems operate.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to complete tasks with little direction and oversight. They will be effective communicators and problem solvers who can develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity.
This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below. It may be filled as either a Principal or Sr. Principal.
Responsibilities- Familiarity with Automated Testing framework, software baseline deployment, testing and troubleshooting the environment, reading error logs, and coordinating corrections with the development team.
- Understand test plans, test procedures, test automation, test reports, and execution of integration test activities in System Integration Labs (SILs) or offsite locations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Masters; 0 years with a PhD.
- Current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application, and willing to submit to a Full Scope polygraph
- Experience with Software Baseline Integration
- Understanding of Automated Testing Framework
- Basic understanding of Java
- Familiarity working in a Linux environment
- Understanding of basic Docker concepts
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years with a Masters; 3 years with a PhD.
- Current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application, and willing to submit to a Full Scope polygraph
- Experience with Software Baseline Integration
- Understanding of Automated Testing Framework
- Basic understanding of Java
- Familiarity working in a Linux environment
- Understanding of basic Docker concepts
- Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Proficient in Kubernetes: debugging services that run in cluster via command line and/or Rancher
- Experience deploying services via Helm
- Experience deploying services via Helmfile
- Proficient with Git for source code management
- Ability to debug and problem solve when things don’t work out of the box
- Experience working in a cross-functional agile team
- Experience building and maintaining configuration

The above salary ranges are general guidelines. Offers consider scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
