Firefighter/Paramedic III Eligibility Exam
By order of the Civil Service Commission, the City of Aurora Fire Department will be establishing an eligibility list for the full‑time position of Firefighter/Paramedic III through a written Civil Service Exam, to be administered on Saturday, February 15, 2025
.
To be eligible to take the exam, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Ohio Driver's License, and be a US citizen. State of Ohio Firefighter II and Paramedic certificates are required prior to appointment, but not required at the time of the exam.
Candidates who achieve eligible list status will be required to undergo a background check and personal interview with the appointing authority. Other testing (including psychological, physical, criminal, polygraph, EKG and drug screening) will be required if employment is offered.
