Specialty Home Remodeling is hiring an experienced remodeling team member with excellent finish work skills and the ability to handle residential renovations from demolition through final installation.

Our projects include high end bathroom renovations, kitchen installations, and full-house remodels. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in precise work, understands how the different stages of a remodel fit together, and can deliver a clean, finished result.

What you’ll do

• Complete bathroom demolition and installation, including preparation, framing, backing, subfloor repairs, shower and tub systems, vanities, and accessories.
• Prepare and install shower waterproofing systems according to manufacturer instructions.
• Install tile on shower walls, floors, and back splashes, with careful attention to layout, cuts, grout, and finished details.
• Install kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, fillers, panels, hardware, and trim, ensuring everything is level, plumb, aligned, and securely fastened.
• Perform rough and finish carpentry, including wall framing, blocking, doors, baseboards, casing, and molding.
• Hang, tape, mud, sand, and repair drywall to produce surfaces ready for paint.
• Install flooring and transitions, and complete caulking, touch-ups, and final punch-list work.
• Perform minor plumbing and electrical tasks within your qualifications and the project’s requirements, coordinating with licensed trades as needed.
• Read measurements, layouts, drawings, and product instructions; identify material needs and plan work in the proper sequence.
• Protect customers’ homes, control dust, maintain an organized work area, and clean up daily.
• Communicate progress, unexpected conditions, and material needs promptly.

What we’re looking for

• Proven hands-on experience in residential remodeling, including completed kitchen and bathroom projects.
• Excellent finish carpentry skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to complete assigned work independently and collaborate with other workers and trades.
• Practical experience with demolition, framing, drywall, cabinetry, tile, flooring, and interior finishes.
• Strong understanding of shower preparation and waterproofing.
• Ability to recognize issues such as water damage, uneven framing, and out-of-level surfaces and communicate an appropriate solution before proceeding.
• Safe, confident use of common construction tools and equipment.
• Dependable attendance, reliable transportation to job sites, and professional communication with homeowners and coworkers.
