Position SummaryWe are seeking a Driver / Transportation Aide
to safely transport residents to appointments, outings, and scheduled trips. This role is focused solely on driving and resident transportation —
no maintenance responsibilities
.
The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, safety-focused, and enjoys working with seniors in a caring environment.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport residents to medical appointments, activities, and scheduled outings
- Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle safely
- Secure wheelchairs properly using approved restraint systems
- Ensure resident comfort and safety throughout transportation
- Maintain cleanliness and basic readiness of the vehicle (fueling, visual safety checks)
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, and staff
- Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and facility policies
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Prior experience transporting seniors or patients preferred (not required)
- Ability to assist residents with mobility needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
- High School Diploma or equivalent
