Respiratory Therapist PRN

Role Overview:
The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration and ventilator management, primarily in critical care settings. They assess patients, collaborate with healthcare team members, and perform procedures such as airway management, arterial blood gas sampling, and pulmonary diagnostics. The therapist is responsible for patient education, mentoring staff and students, and ensuring safe, quality care aligned with evidence-based practices.

• Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and therapy planning.
• Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, and perform airway interventions.
• Educate patients and support system, and participate in staff development and training.
• Promote high standards of safety, accurate documentation, and compliance with policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and invasive procedures as needed.

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, with the ability to build professional relationships.
