PRN Respiratory Therapist II - Non-NICU

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced patient care in critical settings, focusing on medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, and pulmonary diagnostics.

• Deliver safe, quality respiratory care, including assessments, therapy planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Perform procedures such as aerosolized medication delivery, airway management, arterial blood gas sampling, and ventilator management.
• Educate patients, families, and support staff; mentor new employees and students.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, electronic documentation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures, and promote evidence-based practices.

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Certifications:
  
  NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS required upon hire.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, interpersonal, and computer skills.

Ability to work independently in complex situations, adapt to population-specific needs, and support team development. Complies with organizational policies and standards.
