Part-Time Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings. They exercise significant independence in ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas analysis, supporting complex patient needs.

• Deliver high-quality patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, perform airway interventions, and conduct pulmonary diagnostics.
• Educate patients and support staff, mentor new employees, and participate in staff development.
• Ensure safety and quality by promoting electronic documentation, medication safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with policies and standards, and contribute to a supportive team environment.

• Minimum of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment skills, and computer literacy.
