Registered Respiratory Therapist; RRT

The Respiratory Therapist III delivers advanced respiratory care, primarily in critical care settings, requiring independent decision-making and protocol ventilator management. They assess patients, administer medications, perform procedures such as airway management, arterial blood gas sampling, and ventilator weaning, while ensuring patient safety and quality care.

Provide compassionate patient care, collaborate with healthcare team, educate patients and support systems, mentor new staff and students, participate in performance improvement projects, and promote evidence-based practices. They also handle documentation, promote safety protocols, and contribute to quality initiatives.

Requires an associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC-RRT credential, and active certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and others. Minimum of two years of clinical experience in critical care areas is necessary. Must have strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills.
