Position: Non-Ferrous Metal Buyer & Customer Service Assistant

Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 5:00 PM;
Saturday, 8:00 AM 12:00 PM

Location: Austell, Georgia

Type: Full-Time | On-Site | Hourly + Opportunities for Advancement

Experience: Industry experience preferred, but training is provided

• Greet and assist customers unloading non-ferrous scrap material
• Weigh, grade, and evaluate scrap using proper techniques and tools
• Provide accurate pricing based on current market values and company standards
• Deliver top-notch customer service to individual and industrial clients
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area
• Assist with general labor and processing tasks in the non-ferrous division
• Work closely under the direction of the Scrap Yard Manager and support team operations as needed

• Knowledge of non-ferrous metals (e.g., copper, brass, aluminum, wire, etc.) and basic grading practices
• Experience in the scrap metal industry is strongly preferred
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, outdoor environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift, sort, and move materials safely and efficiently
• Team-oriented and dependable
