Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Primary Care - Austell, GA

Wellstar Medical Group seeks a full‑time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for its Internal Medicine Austell II outpatient practice in Austell, GA. The schedule is Monday‑Friday.

Requirements:
Required APP experience: 5 years

Geriatric and complex patients

Monday‑Friday, full‑time.

• Provide quality care to all patients under your service in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collaborate to develop and utilize Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) protocols for targeted diagnosis.
• Cooperate with, participate in, and comply with quality assurance, risk management, peer review programs, grievance procedures, and utilization control mechanisms implemented by the Medical Group and its affiliates.
• Conduct thorough medical histories, perform complete physical examinations, initiate appropriate lab orders, radiology tests or other diagnostic tests required for evaluation of illness, and evaluate lab data on new and former clinic patients and hospital admissions to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Work as part of multidisciplinary care teams.
• Educate patients regarding their disease and treatment plans.
• Serve as clinical preceptor for PA/APRN students and other health professionals.
• Refer patients to specialists as appropriate for consultation or for specialized health resources and treatment.
• Provide virtual healthcare remotely when needed.
• Other duties as assigned and appropriate by training and experience.
