Registered Nurse; RN; MedSurg Acute Care​/Post Surgical​/Burn​/Bariatric

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care in a clinical setting. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers and adhere to evidence-based standards, the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, and the ANA Code of Ethics.

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
• Deliver patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations and cultural backgrounds, collaborating effectively with patients and their families.
• Coordinate safe, quality care through interdisciplinary communication, timely documentation, and fostering a respectful environment.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities to enhance patient outcomes.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor, supporting professional development and a healthy work environment.
• Promote evidence-based practice, participate in data collection, and adhere to organizational policies, legal, and regulatory standards.
• Support resource management and contribute to protocol development for optimal care outcomes.

• Minimum of 5 years RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
• Licensed as RN (single or multi-state Compact) and current BLS certification.
• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required;
  Bachelor's preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proficient in technology use, with excellent time management and critical thinking abilities.
