Registered Nurse; RN; Acute Care - Medsurg Oncology

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care on a 28-bed Oncology Unit, specializing in adult cancer treatments, hospice, and telemetry services.



Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation based on evidence-based practices.
• Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient needs, involving patients and families in care planning.
• Coordinate safe, quality care through effective interdisciplinary communication and documentation.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities to enhance patient outcomes.
• Support professional development, serve as a preceptor, and model nursing excellence.
• Promote evidence-based practice, ensure compliance with organizational policies, and contribute to protocol development.
• Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum and optimize resource utilization.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
  Bachelor's preferred.
• Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
• Less than 1 year of clinical experience preferred, with strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and computer skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond decisively to emergencies.
