Registered Nurse; RN; Acute Care MedSurg Oncology - Charge Nurse - Nights

The Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse supervises daily unit operations on an assigned shift, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. They practice in a clinical environment supported by leadership and evidence-based models, acting as a proactive team member and resource for staff, patients, and families.

• Manage staffing, patient assignments, and resource planning to optimize care delivery.
• Oversee clinical care through patient rounds, assessments, and ensuring adherence to standards.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary communication, physician rounding, and patient safety initiatives.
• Lead performance improvement activities, support team development, and promote evidence-based practice.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and ethical guidelines.
• Serve as a mentor and preceptor, fostering a healthy work environment and professional growth.
• Participate in quality initiatives, data collection, and research to advance patient outcomes.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license (multi-state compact preferred).
• Certifications:
  
  BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; relief charge experience and clinical expertise preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
