Registered Nurse - Acute Care - MedSurg Oncology - Night

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse on the Medsurg Oncology Unit provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team. They assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using evidence-based practices, ensuring individualized treatment. The role emphasizes relationship-based care, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform nursing processes and deliver evidence-based, individualized care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Partner with patients and their families for effective communication, education, and goal setting.
• Coordinate safe, quality care through interdisciplinary collaboration and timely documentation.
• Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance activities.
• Serve as a mentor or preceptor, fostering professional development and a healthy work environment.
• Promote evidence-based practice, participate in data collection, and develop protocols for best outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Less than one year of clinical experience preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and professional development skills.
