Position: Registered Nurse – Charge – Acute Care – MedSurg Oncology – Full-Time Night
The RN Clinical Charge Nurse oversees daily unit operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care, practicing within evidence-based standards and the Well Star Nursing Practice Model. They act as a caregiver, sometimes taking modified patient assignments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized care emphasizing safety, respect, and effective communication. Key responsibilities include staff scheduling, patient flow management, clinical oversight, physician rounding, and participation in performance improvement and shared governance.

They serve as a resource for operational and clinical expertise, mentor team members, and promote evidence-based practices and research to enhance patient outcomes. Qualifications include an Associate's or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), valid RN licensure (single-state or multi-state), and required certifications such as BLS. Minimum experience is one year in nursing, with preferred experience as a relief charge nurse or with clinical leadership roles.
