SummarySells spirits, wine, beer and non-alcoholic products to bars and restaurants for a wholesale distributor by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Learns and executes the On-Premise accounts standards for POS, Back Bar placements, wine list and drinks list minimum in each account.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
- Travels through assigned territory daily to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, present items for distribution, and handle damages and off-condition product.
- Quotes prices and credit terms for orders obtained.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
- Confers with District Manager to resolve customer problems.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
- Identifies and responds to customers' needs.
- Maintains frequent and open communication with drivers, driver supervisors, district managers, sales managers and the general manager.
- Prepares and/or maintains distribution tracking reports, planning and goals, case quotas and dollar objectives, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Executes sales plans and maintains accounts according to company standards.
- Tracks progress of goals on a weekly basis.
- Participates in supplier work‑withes.
- Continually maintains training and product knowledge.
- Spends time in the trade with Key Sales reps or DM’s.
- Covers open territories when needed.
- Delivers emergency orders when needed.
- Attends trade shows.
- Conducts business according to local and state laws.
- Performs merchandising duties as needed or upon request.
- Other duties as assigned by District Manager.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one‑year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have the ability to sustain a current and valid Alcohol Sales Permit from the Georgia Department of Revenue.
- Basic computer knowledge and Knowledge of Order Processing Systems.
