AboutThe Role
Picture your day starting on the production floor, where a mix of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and controls all have to perform in sync. You move from diagnosing a PLC alarm to rebuilding a drive belt assembly, then wrap up by documenting the work you completed. If that hands‑on variety energizes you, this role is for you.
What You Will Do- Use your combined knowledge of industrial electronics and mechanical systems to pinpoint faults and return equipment to service quickly.
- Analyze and troubleshoot PLCs, control circuitry, and variable frequency AC drives to resolve alarms, errors, and performance issues.
- Build, test, and install electrical control panels from schematic drawings.
- Assemble automation machinery using engineering instructions, technical manuals, and a strong understanding of electronic components and systems.
- Integrate electrical control systems with pneumatic and mechanical assemblies for seamless operation.
- Take on additional tasks assigned by management as needed to support operations.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance so machines run smoothly, building systems stay efficient, and facility conditions remain strong.
- Record all repairs, adjustments, and PM activity in the maintenance work order system.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts; verify fluid levels; replace filters; and complete checklist-driven maintenance actions.
- Work confidently with hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, plus precision gauges and electrical/electronic test equipment.
- Install, assemble, or repair wiring; electrical and electronic components; piping and plumbing; machinery; and production equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine corrective steps using blueprints, service manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Plan and lay out repair work by referencing diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.
- Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal components.
- Evaluate used parts for dimensional changes using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and related measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting mindset across electrical and control systems.
- Mechanical diagnostics expertise.
- Knowledge of single and three phase power.
- Familiarity with 120, 208, 240, and 480 volt AC systems.
- Experience with motor removal, installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Skill in conveyor chain replacement and setup.
- Hands‑on hydraulics experience.
- Pneumatic system troubleshooting capability.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
Every day brings a new challenge. If you thrive on solving problems across disciplines and documenting your wins, you will fit right in.
