Overview

Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver (Non-CDL) — Miller Clapperton.

Location:

Austell, GA.

Reports To:

Production Manager.

• Drive safely and always use the correct PPE for a given task.
• Timely delivery of materials.
• Load and unload materials as required.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and other relevant information.
• Maintain, refuel, and keep the company vehicle clean and professional looking.
• Daily CMV pre-trip inspections of truck and trailer.
• Communicate with on-site contacts for deliveries.
• Adhere to all relevant regulations and laws related to trucking and driving.
• Follow company accident procedures as required.
• Maintain a digital timecard.
• Maintain a DOT driving log.
• Report all mechanical problems to the Facilities and Maintenance department.
• Must have a professional and positive attitude with customers and coworkers.

• Perform tasks in Production such as fabricating metal composite material (MCM), HPL, and fiber cement panels for engineered wall systems.
• Operate or assist on a CNC Router.
• Cut aluminum extrusions on the chop saw and band saw.
• Build crates using air nail guns and air staplers.
• Use power/hand tools such as screw guns, drills, metal snips, etc.
• Keep the work area clean.
• Other tasks assigned by shop leaders.

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to pass E-Verify.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to pass MVR check and pre-employment checks.
• Must be able to pass a DOT medical exam as a pre-employment check and get rechecked annually.
• Must be willing to work in the Production Department when no driving is required.
• Must wear approved safety glasses, PPE, etc.
• Must be able to use power/hand tools such as a screw gun, caulk gun, protractor, snips, etc.
• Must have attention to detail and be able to follow directions.
• Must be physically healthy to work in a fast-paced environment; lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, kneeling, etc.
• Must be willing to work in multiple areas of the Production shop.
• High accuracy and exactness are essential.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Present yourself professionally and courteously.
• English, Spanish, Russian, bilingual, or other languages are acceptable.
