As the CDL Driver and Tech for Yancey Power Systems' Entertainment department, you will be responsible for delivering and setting up equipment. You will also interact with customers and be expected to represent Yancey in a professional manner.

• Delivering equipment to jobs in a safe manner.
• Some job setups after delivered to the job.
• Remain on the job during the events to maintain equipment.
• Minor preventative maintenance on Yancey Equipment.
• This job will be customer-facing. Employees must always remain professional.
• Other duties assigned by their immediate supervisor.

• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Must have 3 – 5 years industry experience.

• Must be 23-years-old or older.
• Valid, active CDL license. Class B or greater preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a driver for heavy equipment transportation, general professional freight carrier, or heavy-duty trucking (e.g., wrecker, mobile crane).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to:
  • Road Test administered by Yancey personnel.
  • Background check and MVR with less than 10 points.
  • DOT Physical
  • Drug Screen
• Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR § 383.5 or 49 CFR § 383.51.
• Must be willing to be on the road for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• May be subject to extreme weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and ice.
• Equipment, tools and job site may be very loud requiring hearing protection.
• Environment may include vibrations, strong odors, moving mechanical parts, exposure to electrical shock, flammable liquids and gases, oils and solvents, working on platforms or equipment over 4 feet from the ground.
• Appropriate PPE maybe required and mandated by Yancey Bros. Co. or the customer.

Physical:

• Constantly Lift/Carry/Lower 1 – 15 Lbs., Constantly Lift/Carry/Lower 15 – 30 Lbs., Frequently.
• Lift/Carry/Lower 30 – 50 Lbs., Frequently Lift/Carry/Lower 50 – 75 Lbs., occasionally Lift/Carry/Lower 75 – 100 Lbs. +.

Continuously pushing/pulling, reaching (both above and below shoulder), bending/twisting, walking, standing, repetition – hand/wrist simple and firm grasping.

Constantly crouching/stooping/squatting, crawling/kneeling, climbing/stepping.

Travel:

• Typically requires travel 80% to 95% of the time.

To be successful in this position you should have previous experience working as a CDL driver, a mechanical aptitude, and some customer service skills. The ability to multitask, problem solve, and be safety conscious are essential to this position as well.
