Position: Senior Staff Environmental Engineer  (Corporate Office - Austin, MN or Willmar, MN)

Senior Staff Environmental Engineer (Corporate Office - Austin, MN or Willmar, MN)

Hormel Foods is a global branded food company. We are inviting applicants for the Senior Staff Environmental Engineer role.

Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical guidance on the laws and regulations impacting environmental compliance.
  • Identify, plan, and execute environmental projects of a complex nature.
  • Evaluate environmental permitting needs, write and review environmental permit applications, and assure permit compliance.
  • Assure the accurate and timely submittal of various environmental compliance reports.
  • Develop and implement Environmental Management System (EMS) components, including policy writing, training, and compliance auditing.
  • Provide multi-plant support to assure success of the company EMS and Sustainability programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
  • 7+ years of environmental engineering experience.
  • A strong pattern of initiative.
  • Highly developed leadership skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance many tasks simultaneously.
