Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. This individual must have strong database engineering and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and high-volume database environment in GCP managed databases (Cloud SQL Postgres, Memory store for Redis/Valkey, AlloyDB, Spanner, Big Query). The Senior DBA will play a critical role in administering, maintaining, optimizing, and supporting our database systems, ensuring data integrity, performance, and availability.
This includes working on both physical and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) native infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Postgres Server and working with modern cloud-native database solutions such as GCP CloudSQL PostgreSQL, Redis and Big Query. In addition to hands‑on technical expertise, the role also requires strong collaboration skills, operational support, and contributions to strategic database initiatives.
Furthermore, the Senior DBA is expected to embrace Dev Ops practices by automating database operations, implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for provisioning and maintaining database environments, managing CI/CD pipelines for database changes, monitoring and alerting using modern tools, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of database systems within the software development lifecycle. A proactive mindset towards continuous improvement, scalability, and reliability in line with Dev Ops principles is key to succeeding in this role.
