This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Outdoor Adventure Facilitator at the YMCA of the Ozarks is responsible for designing, leading, and evaluating engaging and impactful outdoor education, family programming, and team-building experiences for diverse groups, including schools, families, and retreats. This role fosters personal growth, strengthens relationships, and promotes environmental stewardship through adventure-based activities, challenge courses, and nature exploration within the unique setting of the YMCA of the Ozarks.
The Facilitator ensures all programs are delivered safely, meet program objectives, and align with the YMCA's mission and values.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- CPR, AED and First Aid Certifications required within 30 days of employment
- Experience in a camp or outdoor education setting, or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
- Class E Driver’s License and ability to drive watercraft preferred
- Additional relevant certifications (ACCT level 1, USA Archery Level I instructor, Lifeguard, etc.) preferred
