Sr. Accountant plus stock - IPO

Bell & Associates, Inc. has been engaged to help our client recruit their next Sr. Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting SEC filing requirements, and maintaining audit-ready documentation. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The ideal candidate is experienced in preparing journal entries, creating supporting work papers, and driving the month-end close process while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements.

• Lead and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile complex general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaids, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Support annual financial audits and SOX compliance activities, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Assist in developing and implementing internal controls, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting policies, financial systems, transaction processes, internal controls, and chart of accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper recording of transactions and to resolve discrepancies.
• Work with customers, vendors, auditors, bankers, and other outside individuals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of related experience
• Public accounting and/or audit experience a plus
• Experience with intercompany reconciliations and foreign currency transactions a plus
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Enthusiasm to be a supportive and positive team member
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
