KOMPAN U.S. is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated Accounting Specialist for our Austin office. This role will support our Finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks. In collaboration with our global headquarters in Denmark, KOMPAN designs, manufactures, and installs more than 1,000 sites a month across 90 different countries. Our North American headquarters, located in Austin, Texas, supports field sales around the U.S. and Canada.

What You’ll Do Billing & Invoicing- Generate and send customer invoices accurately and on time
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Address and resolve billing discrepancies or client inquiries
- Record incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire, credit card, etc.)
- Reconcile daily deposits and apply them to appropriate accounts
- Assist with proactive collection efforts and escalated as needed
- Review employee expense reports for policy compliance and accuracy
- Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting
- Perform administrative tasks associated with set up and maintaining travel accounts
- Support month-end close activities (e.g., journal entries, reconciliations)
- Maintain accounting files and documentation for audit readiness
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and ad hoc projects as assigned
Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role
- Internship or co-op experience in a finance/accounting team (a plus but not required)
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or expense platforms (e.g., Quick Books, Acubiz, Egencia, Net Suite, SAP)
- Attention to detail with a knack for catching discrepancies
- Ability to work independently and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Interest in growing into a broader accounting or finance role
This position is office-based from the KOMPAN U.S. Headquarters in Austin, TX
