Position: Experienced Income Tax Preparer

Overview Our client is seeking a highly experienced Income Tax Preparer with strong technical expertise and the ability to manage complex tax filings across multiple entity types. This role requires a seasoned professional who can independently handle tax preparation, client communication, and compliance with current tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Analyze financial data, identify potential tax issues, and recommend appropriate tax strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations, including changes in tax laws that may impact clients.
• Interact with clients in a professional, friendly, and consultative manner, ensuring exceptional service and clear communication throughout the tax preparation process.
• Manage multiple client engagements, meet deadlines consistently, and maintain high-quality standards in all deliverables.
• Assist with tax planning, projections, and year-end preparation as needed.
• Collaborate with internal team members to ensure efficient workflow and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in preparing individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
• Strong understanding and application of current IRS regulations, state tax rules, and multi-entity tax structures.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage high‑volume work during peak periods while maintaining accuracy.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) are highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and general accounting systems.
• Strong communication skills and a client‑focused approach.
