Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Bee Cave, Texas. This role involves managing various aspects of accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate coding, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in job costing and familiarity with accounting software, especially in a construction-related environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process and code invoices accurately according to company procedures.

- Manage accounts payable functions, including ACH transactions, check runs, and job costing.

- Ensure compliance with lien waivers and Form 1099 requirements.

- Reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card transactions.

- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve payment issues.

- Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions.

- Support financial reporting by providing accurate data and documentation.

- Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

- Monitor and adhere to deadlines for payments and reconciliations.

- Assist with special projects or audits as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounting functions.

- Strong knowledge of coding invoices and account coding procedures.

- Familiarity with ACH payments, check runs, and job costing.

- Experience with lien waivers and Form 1099 compliance.

- Proficiency in monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.

- Background in the construction industry is highly preferred.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Proficiency in accounting software, with a willingness to learn new systems.
