Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will oversee comprehensive bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and transaction management. This position requires excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills to effectively handle client engagements and maintain organized financial records.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the complete bookkeeping cycle for assigned clients, including reviewing data, categorizing transactions, and performing reconciliations.

- Prepare and finalize monthly financial statements, ensuring all reports are accurate and complete before delivery.

- Maintain proactive communication with clients to gather missing documents, clarify transactions, and confirm necessary adjustments.

- Update and organize client files, notes, and financial records using Canopy, Quick Books Online, and other approved platforms.

- Handle multiple client accounts simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on deadlines and complexity.

- Ensure proper classification and recording of accounts payable and receivable transactions.

- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

- Collaborate with clients to address inquiries and provide guidance on financial matters.

- Adhere to established bookkeeping procedures and standards to maintain consistency across all accounts. Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of financial cycles and processes.

- Proficiency in Quick Books Online and other relevant accounting software.

- Familiarity with managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations.

- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple client engagements effectively.

- Excellent communication abilities to interact with clients and resolve financial inquiries.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of bookkeeping.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
