As an Accounting Clerk, you will respond to guest inquiries, resolve guest billing disputes, perform month‑end duties, and prepare daily receivables to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will:
- Post charges, invoice as required by account type, and process certain accounts such as parking, contract rooms.
- Process advance deposits, refunds on cancellations, posting daily deposits and other payments including wires and payment reports.
- Handle all questions and concerns related to charges, conduct thorough research, develop the most effective solution, and negotiate results.
- Process adjusting entries to update or correct guest billing questions and disputes.
- Assist in resolving outstanding balances with direct bill and collections accounts and gather the appropriate backup needed.
- Receive and maintain credit applications. High degree of data input and organizing daily paperwork.
- Verify and maintain high balance reports.
- Work with Sales/Events and clients to ensure billing timeliness and accuracy.
- Assist in implementing Accounts Receivable policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with company policies and standards.
- Weekly review and documentation of Accounts Receivable Aged Balances.
- Assist in monthly cash audits, journal entries, and Accounts Payable/Receivable functions.
Required skills and attributes:
