Tax Associate

$65,000-$75,000 base + up to 10% variable compensation

• Tax Associates will prepare federal and state corporate, individual, and partnership tax returns
• Research tax issues and legislation and interpret tax code
• Make projections on future tax liabilities based on variable options to make client recommendations as part of the tax planning process
• Interact with client personnel regarding tax return information, deadlines, etc. and keep the team informed on status
• Keep current on professional announcements and proactively participate in professional development opportunities

• Knowledge and experience with Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax CS and Accounting CS, Quick Books Online, & Gusto is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to listen effectively
• Work well under pressure; able to meet deadlines with accuracy
• Ability to learn processes quickly and apply that knowledge to engagements
• Team player with a desire to be an active participant within the organization
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
• Masters in Accounting or Taxation (preferred)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License or CPA Candidate, or Enrolled Agent (preferred)
• Ability to commute to Austin, TX (78701)
