Accounts Receivable Specialist

We’re seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a growing company’s accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a high volume of customer payments, invoice activity, and account reconciliations.

• Process and post customer payments, including checks, cash, and credit cards.
• Maintain accurate deposit records and payment logs.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, short payments, and customer account inquiries.
• Review and process approved customer refunds and account adjustments.
• Monitor outstanding balances, review aging reports, and flag collection issues.
• Research customer chargebacks and prepare related adjustments.
• Partner with internal accounting, sales, and customer service teams to resolve issues.
• Identify process improvements and assist with additional accounting projects as needed.

• 0–2 years of relevant accounts receivable, accounting, or finance experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of basic accounting processes and payment applications.
• A process-oriented mindset with the ability to work efficiently across manual and automated workflows.

A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
