Construction Audit Manager​/Director

Location: United States – Remote

We are partnering with a specialist construction consulting firm seeking an experienced CPA / financial professional to lead complex construction audit assignments.

This is a senior-level opportunity for someone with a background in construction auditing, forensic accounting, cost analysis or financial consulting who is comfortable independently directing projects and working closely with clients.

You will be inheriting a workload and clients with the view to one day become an expert.

• Lead construction and contract audit engagements
• Review contractor costs, billings, invoices and accounting records
• Analyse change orders, cost proposals and project financial documentation
• Review direct/indirect costs and overhead allocations
• Identify unsupported or unreasonable costs
• Prepare audit findings, reports and recommendations
• Manage projects from initial scope through final delivery
• Present findings directly to clients and senior stakeholders

• Significant construction audit, forensic accounting or financial consulting experience
• CPA preferred
• Strong understanding of construction accounting and project costs
• Experience reviewing contractor costs and financial records
• Proven ability to independently lead projects and client engagements
• Strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills
