Administrative Asst III – Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
Location:
701 W 51ST ST, Austin, TX 78751.
- Provide advanced administrative support and technical program assistance at the direction of unit managers.
- Manage and assign applications, reviewing payment pending applications for accuracy and ensuring workflow.
- Perform database management and entry in systems such as TULIP, ASPEN, and other internal databases.
- Provide telephone coverage through the provider licensure and certification call center, offering basic and intermediate level instructions and information to callers.
- Prepare routine correspondence; process incoming mail and faxes and distribute or email to appropriate staff.
- Coordinate meetings and scheduling on behalf of the unit manager.
- Maintain and update application and license data; ensure data quality.
- Interpret and communicate licensing requirements to internal and external stakeholders; provide highly complex technical assistance and consultation.
Provide administrative support, process mail and faxes, prepare correspondence, coordinate and schedule meetings.
Manage and assign applications, assign to specialists, review payment pending for accuracy.
Maintain data in TULIP and other systems.
Interpret licensing rules, provide technical assistance, resolve customer concerns, answer program rule and policy questions.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Current regulatory experience and knowledge of assisted living, intermediate care, and prescribed pediatric extended care center licensure rules.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to the regulatory program area.
- Experience with TULIP, ASPEN, Microsoft Office, and internal databases.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to establish effective working relationships.
- Analytical skills to develop policies, procedures, and conduct research; experience gathering statistics and identifying trends.
- Graduation from a two-year college or equivalent preferred; experience may substitute education.
- Experience developing/interpreting policies, rules, or standards required.
- Experience providing detailed written information to individuals or entities.
- Experience providing training and technical assistance.
- Experience in customer service via call center.
Telework is eligible. Travel up to 10%. Position is nonexempt, full time, day shift.
