Title Clerk

The Title Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vehicle titles and related documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. This role supports the sales and finance teams by managing title paperwork, lien submissions, and communication with state agencies, lenders, and customers. Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines are critical for success in this role.

• Process vehicle title applications, transfers, and registrations accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare and submit title and lien documentation to the appropriate state agencies
• Verify deal paperwork for completeness and accuracy prior to submission
• Track title statuses and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution
• Coordinate with management and internal teams regarding title and lien issues
• Maintain accurate records and ensure secure, compliant filing of title documents
• Process title corrections and resolve discrepancies as required
• Adhere to all state, federal, and company compliance standards related to vehicle titling

• Previous experience as a Title Clerk or in automotive titling preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and dealership software
