Sr. Sourcing Analyst

About the Role

The Senior Sourcing Analyst will be based in Austin and will report to the Senior Sourcing Manager. The role is highly cross‑functional and collaborative, working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Finance, Logistics, and Program Management. Travel, both domestic and international, is required.

You see challenges as opportunities, have a keen eye for detail, and bring a wealth of strategic sourcing and supplier development experience. You can develop and execute sourcing strategies across a global supplier footprint, listen, analyze, engage, and advise internal stakeholders, strategic suppliers, and peers. Your ability to locate and develop new sources for product requirements supports the YETI brand promise and overall supply chain needs.

• Source and manage a world‑class supply base based upon 3‑year strategy plans and product roadmap needs.
• Define and execute sourcing strategies with YETI cross‑functional teams by leveraging internal and industry data to ensure optimal cost, compliance, and continuity of supply.
• Support YETI new product development (NPD) projects, including supplier search, RFP/RFQ, business award, and project execution.
• Analyze and determine cost reduction opportunities by leveraging volumes, optimizing the supplier base, and reducing total cost of ownership.
• Evaluate and plan supplier capacities to ensure ability to meet YETI’s growing demand and product roadmap.
• Act as subject‑matter expert by understanding trends, technologies, and market dynamics that impact YETI’s supply chain.
• Negotiate and implement supplier agreements/contracts by working with cross‑functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
• Identify continuous improvement and digital transformation opportunities by evaluating procedural or operational shortcomings within sourcing process and share improvement strategies with the Sourcing team.
• Perform minor administrative work, such as revising price changes and placing indirect purchase orders as needed.

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Supply Chain or Business.
• Greater than 8 years of strategic sourcing or supply chain experience in a consumer goods industry.
• Experience working with suppliers in the plastics industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures.
• Analytical and strategic problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle sudden setbacks.
• Willingness to operate in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel between 20‑50% domestic and international.
