Role SummaryAgoda is looking for a strategic, data-driven leader to steer our global marketing investments. In this role, you aren’t just spending a budget; you are managing a global P&L. You will bridge the gap between high-level financial targets and granular marketing execution, ensuring every dollar spent maximizes long‑term profitability. You will define our global market strategy, own our Lifetime Value (LTV) frameworks, and lead a high‑performing team to outpace the competition in a high‑velocity travel market.
This position grants you a “seat at the table” for Agoda’s most critical commercial decisions. You will use machine learning and predictive analytics to solve the “game theory” of the online travel industry, where pricing and loyalty change by the hour.
Key Responsibilities- P&L Stewardship:
Drive marketing investment strategies to meet Finance P&L targets, balancing short‑term volume with long‑term margin optimization. - Strategic Growth Strategy:
Define and execute Agoda’s global growth roadmap, identifying market opportunities and responding to competitor moves in real‑time. - Investment Orchestration:
Coordinate marketing spend across all digital channels (Performance, Brand, Meta) to ensure a cohesive and efficient global footprint. - LTV & Unit Economics:
Together with the data science team, own and refine our definition of Lifetime Value (LTV); use these insights to shift the business toward high‑value customer acquisition. - Forecasting & Modeling:
Lead business forecasting efforts to predict market shifts and proactively adjust investment levels. - Cross‑Functional Leadership:
Act as the primary liaison between Marketing, Corporate Strategy, Product, Finance and Supply to align and execute cross‑functional initiatives. - Team Development:
Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a culture of rigorous experimentation and “get‑things‑done” ownership.
- Analytical Rigor:
Exceptional ability to translate complex data sets into actionable business strategies. Expertise in SQL, Excel, or data visualization tools is expected. - Commercial Acumen:
Strong background in Revenue Management, Forecasting, Pricing, or Growth Equity. You understand how marketing levers impact the bottom line. - Strategic Mindset:
Experience defining 1–3 year growth strategies in a global, fast‑paced e‑commerce or OTA environment. - Product Exposure:
Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and technical product development—you can speak the language of engineers and data scientists. - Leadership:
Experience hiring and coaching high‑potential talent in a multicultural, high‑pressure environment.
