In regards to the Function We’re searching for a highly structured and detail-oriented E-commerce Administrator to handle the day-to-day operations of our new e-commerce platform built on Medusa. We’re launching in early February and require an immediate contribution to help with the 30-day pre-launch phase, specializing in system testing and QA. Post-launch, you’ll function as the operational backbone of the shop, managing high-volume orders (10k-20k/month) and serving as the escalation point for our Customer Service team.
Key Duties
- Part 1:
Pre-Launch (First 30 Days): Conduct rigorous end-to-end testing of the Medusa platform (login, cart performance, checkout flows, payment gateways). - Identify, document, and categorize system bugs or UX issues.
- Collaborate with the events team to prioritize and resolve issues before go-live.
- Part 2:
Ongoing Operations: - Order Administration: Oversee the daily flow of 10,000+ monthly orders, ensuring accurate processing from payment to fulfillment.
- Monetary Reconciliation: Handle payment captures, review fraud flags, and process complex refunds or changes.
- Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with fulfillment partners to troubleshoot delivery delays or stock discrepancies.
- Tier 2 Support: Resolve escalated tickets from Customer Service that require backend administrative entry or technical investigation.
- Emergency Response: Provide on-call support outside of normal hours for critical site outages or payment failures.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce Operations or Administration.

. - Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly learn new dashboard interfaces and understand e-commerce workflows (APIs, payment gateways, fulfillment logic).
- Communication: Native or near-native English proficiency (written and verbal). Ability to articulate technical points clearly to developers.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, structured thinking, and a proactive ownership mindset.
Month-to-month Retainer: $5,000 – $8,500 USD / month (based on experience)
