Purpose

To assist the University Development Office Frontline Support Services (FSS) team with staff support needs and daily administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination of activities for various gift officers and other staff members as assigned.
  • Provide support that allows for efficient and effective use of staff members’ time.
  • Assist with portfolio management and strategy execution for assigned fundraisers.
  • Assist with goal setting, proposal preparation, strategy development, and stewardship as required for donors.
  • Assist with maintaining appropriate electronic documentation on a timely basis, including engagement activities, proposal tracking, contact reports, donor strategies, and forecasting.
  • Assist with recording timely reports, letters, proposals, or gift agreements following a donor contact.
  • Assist with prospect and donor research, individualized donor stewardship projects, and various forms of donor outreach as needed.
  • Plan and execute various events, such as workshops, webinars, and campus visits.
  • Serve as a resource of information for assigned gift officers.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, plan travel, and process reimbursements in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively, proactively, and in a professional, service‑oriented manner with all university development staff to further the development goals of the university.
  • Other related functions and duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A combination of one year of experience assisting with fundraising programs or performing complex administrative functions.
  • Highly effective communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal).
  • Project management skills.
  • Capable of working independently and under pressure, while also engaging in collaboration between teams.
