Marketplace Lead

OPTIVATIONS is a full-service marketplace management and advisory firm that helps leading consumer brands grow on Amazon and other digital marketplaces. We combine strategy, analytics, advertising, operations, content, and supply chain expertise with hands‑on execution. We work directly with senior leaders at top brands and give talented people real responsibility early.

We’re seeking a Marketplace Lead to support our largest and most strategic client relationships, working alongside Austin-based client teams and our cross‑functional experts. This is not simply an Amazon account‑management role. We’re looking for someone who combines analytical horsepower, business judgment, client leadership, and strong execution.

• Own the marketplace agenda and performance for one or more key client accounts
• Diagnose the drivers behind sales, traffic, conversion, profitability, and inventory, and turn data into clear recommendations
• Translate client objectives into marketplace strategies, plans, forecasts, and business cases
• Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews and shape the narrative for senior client leadership
• Evaluate opportunities across assortment, pricing, promotions, advertising, content, and fulfillment
• Lead planning and execution for product launches, Prime Day, and other major events
• Partner with client teams (ecommerce, finance, marketing, operations, supply chain) and coordinate OPTIVATIONS resources to drive work to completion

• Exceptional analytical ability and comfort with ambiguous business problems
• Intellectual curiosity: you want to understand why something is happening, not just report the numbers
• Strong ownership mentality and bias toward action
• Ability to simplify complex information into actionable recommendations
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clients at all levels
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; SQL, BI, or data visualization experience is a plus
• Amazon, ecommerce, retail, or CPG experience preferred but not required
• Typically 3–7 years of experience, though demonstrated ability and trajectory matter more than tenure

Based in Austin with regular in‑person collaboration at a key client. This is not a fully remote role. Limited travel to our West Palm Beach office and occasional client sites.
