Full-Time | Hybrid

Salary: $60,000-$65,000, depending on experience

ACEA is seeking an experienced, highly organized Events & Operations Manager to take ownership of the planning and execution of association events while supporting day-to-day operations. Working closely with the Executive Director, this role offers significant ownership and autonomy and is ideal for someone who can anticipate needs, manage vendors and budgets, solve problems, and independently move multiple projects from planning through completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate ACEA events including the Symposium, Fish Fry, Clay Shoot, golf tournaments, luncheons, and networking events.
  • Manage event logistics from planning through execution, including timelines, venues, vendors, contracts, registration, attendee lists, catering, rentals, volunteers, check-in and on-site coordination.
  • Keep the approved event budget at the forefront of planning and decision-making, closely monitoring expenses, evaluating vendor costs, and identifying potential budget concerns or cost-saving opportunities before commitments are made.
  • Manage post-event operational wrap-up and maintain organized event records, checklists, templates, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate member, event, and company information in ACEA’s association management system.
  • Assist members with event registrations, account questions, and other routine needs.
  • Support committee meetings, calendars, meeting materials, and action-item follow-up.
  • Assist the Executive Director with other association operations and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on event planning or event management experience, with demonstrated experience independently managing event logistics from planning through execution.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly when plans change.
  • Comfortable communicating with members, vendors, volunteers, and industry professionals.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and comfort learning new software.
  • Availability for occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends for ACEA events.

Experience independently managing large, multi-vendor events is strongly preferred.

Experience with a trade association, membership organization, nonprofit, or conference environment is a plus.

  • $500 monthly healthcare stipend ($6,000 annually)
  • 4% contribution of your salary to a retirement fund
  • 15 days of paid time off annually
  • 9 paid holidays, plus additional paid time off around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, subject to prior approval and ACEA’s event and operational schedule
  • Flexible hybrid work schedule based on ACEA’s event calendar
  • $50 monthly cellphone reimbursement
  • Mileage reimbursement for approved business travel at the current IRS standard mileage rate
