About the RoleWe are seeking a Family Advocate to join our team. The Family Advocate builds strong, goal-oriented relationships with families, provides case management and support services, and connects families to resources that promote self-sufficiency and child well-being. This role serves as a vital link between families, community resources, and the classroom to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Build positive, culturally responsive relationships with families to support their goals and children's development.
- Assist families in developing and following through on Family Partnership Agreements to promote self-sufficiency.
- Conduct recruitment, intake, and orientation for families entering the program.
- Provide referrals and connect families with community resources such as health care, housing, employment, and parenting support.
- Maintain accurate family records and documentation in Child Plus and ensure program compliance.
- Support families through transitions, including kindergarten readiness and connections to future care or education.
- Conduct home visits and provide crisis assistance when needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and community partners to provide comprehensive family support.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to strengthen family engagement practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Counseling, or a related field OR a credential/certification in one of these areas (must be obtained within 18 months of hire if not already held).
- Four (4) years of experience in case management or related work.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with computer software (Word, Excel, databases); experience with Child Plus preferred.
- Conversational Spanish strongly preferred.
- Must pass all required criminal history background checks.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and occasionally out-of-area.

$22.80 – 27.35 (depending on years of experience and education)
