Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered in the budgeting process. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management, cost control, and project management to effectively negotiate contracts and ensure successful project execution.

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates for construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data that may impact costs.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses.
• Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam to create precise estimates and reports.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Monitor ongoing projects to track costs against estimates and implement cost control measures as needed.
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in cost control techniques and contract negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in using estimating software, particularly Bluebeam or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accuracy in estimates.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
